I’m Craig, and I’m the hands-on owner of C.D. Youl Painting. I’ve been painting professionally for nearly 30 years, and I established my own business 25 years ago. In that time my team and I have painted hundreds of properties. I’ve enjoyed looking after many repeat clients, as well as the people they’ve referred to me.
I don’t believe in giving people the hard sell; I simply focus on offering the right advice, and on giving good value for a great job. I take pride in my work. I like to walk away from every job knowing that my client is genuinely happy.
We’re proud to have Craig as one or our Dulux accredited painters. He is highly professional and reliable, and Dulux is glad to be able to engage him when we have special projects that require a top level of expertise.

Our story
I completed my apprenticeship and qualified with all my trade certificates at 21 years of age. Then the professional who had trained me, invited me to run his business for a year, including having full responsibility for 8 tradesmen.
After that, around 25 years ago, I set up my own business. I’m always delighted when a client returns to me, or recommends me to someone they know. That’s the ultimate compliment for a job well done.
The really important thing about my business is that the buck stops with me. The guy you deal with owns the business, and I’m the kind of guy who likes to go home at the end of a day knowing that I did the best job I was capable of doing.
Every tradesman who works for C.D. Youl is fully qualified. I never cut corners by hiring ‘brush hands’. I like to be known for excellent, lasting painting, and most important, for being an honest, reliable and trustworthy operator.
